It guides me to "check-in" on myself and reminds me that dealing with people, particularly students, begins with extending myself to their perspective. Teaching and learning is powerful and highly frenetic. As with yoga, focusing on breathing gives pause, even stop time in my sphere of influence, and consider more the decision best for positive relationships towards learning.
Thanks. Hope to hear your great thinking again.JMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13438647536640711125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753868879178236340.post-14256916947930459162009-04-22T23:00:00.000-04:002009-04-22T23:00:00.000-04:00Your blog is inspiring and thought-provoking. The way we interpret actions is not always true to the motivation behind the act itself as you illustrated with your quotes and clips. Dignity and respect are vital and kindness goes a long way in motivating and reaching students.

I liked the way you presented your material.Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17940624892524526780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753868879178236340.post-48740222606537794942009-03-18T06:54:00.000-04:002009-03-18T06:54:00.000-04:00Thank you for the comment. When I don't succeed, its painfully noticeable, which is probably a good thing. We never know why students do what they do, and what they were thinking, until the time is taken to inquire.
Congrats on Chess!!!WB4ALLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05715089925377206367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753868879178236340.post-59047964375877127722009-03-17T20:40:00.000-04:002009-03-17T20:40:00.000-04:00Thanks for continuing your blog after the 23 Thing...Thanks for continuing your blog after the 23 Things. One of the biggest challenges I have is really hearing what the children are asking. You've reminded me to breath and listen instead of predicting what they are going to say and answering the wrong question.Computer Resourceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03678508776584958352noreply@blogger.com
